For more than 70 years, KDK Forging Co. has been generating grab irons. After World War II, military torsion bars were first developed for tanks. Most people are unaware of the many applications for which upset forging can be used. Upset forging is more cost-effective than welding and can produce near-net shapes that don't need machining. This saves time and money on machining, and the forging process adds strength to the piece.
